Butter. I use to eat it straight up when I was a kid.
How simple to make your own flavored butter! All you need is butter, a food processor, and your choice of flavors. Presentation, of course, makes everything better…kind of like butter does. Here is what we did.
White Truffle Butter
a stick of unsalted butter
1 tbsp white truffle oil (you could use truffle oil or minced truffles)
1 tsp garlic
salt/pepper to taste
Place all in food processor. Turn the button on and watch her whip it.
Cut square pieces of parchment or wax paper. Fill one end with the amount of butter you want in your stick. Roll the paper and store in refrigerator.
Chipotle Butter
a stick of unsalted butter
1/4 – 1/2 can of chipotle
Whip her up in the food processor (if you don’t have a processor you can beat it with a mixer or try a blender…but that might be not so much fun to get out!)
Slap this stuff on some corn on the cob…good god it is GOOD!!!
Strawberry & Honey Butter
a stick of unsalted butter
2 tbsp honey
1 cup strawberries
Whip it up in the food processor. If you want it sweeter…add more honey.
Pesto Butter
a stick of unsalted butter
2 tbsp of homemade pesto (or store bought)
Again…stick it all in the food processor.
