i have a thing for “lived in” spaces. homes that awkwardly make sense. the art and design is there, unconventionally. nothing is too forced, it’s just sort of chaotic. messy. kind of like me. don’t get me wrong, i do love a good organized room. but the reality of a space in dwell magazine or elle decor sometimes haunts me and i ask myself “why do i have so much shit?”. with the likes of websites like the selby, fvf (my new fav), and the old archives of design sponge (i think they are starting to lean towards the middle class yuppies not the vintage eclectic) i can spare myself a bit of relief that your home is to be lived in. things can be out of place, cluttered, from the thrift store, or maybe even ikea. you just gotta have some taste….and plants. you can never go wrong with lots of plants.
